It is so hot here right now so I wanted to review something frozen and delicious to start off the week! My husband picked up these Keto Skream to try and review, they’re vanilla frozen dessert bars that are dipped in a chocolatey coating. This is my first review for a keto friendly frozen dessert!

Other keto sweet treats I’ve reviewed are the NoSugar Company Keto Bombs, innofoods Dark Chocolate Keto Nuggets, CHOCXO Keto Snaps, Universal Bakery Keto Bites, Bakery Street Cinnamon Pecan Keto Bites, Bakery Street Almond Keto Bites, Buddha Brands Hungry Buddha Keto Bars and the Costco Kirkland Signature Protein Bars.

These can be found in the freezer section near all the other frozen desserts. The item number is 1551417.

Taste

These don’t taste any different than a non-keto chocolate coated ice cream bar. I wouldn’t be able to tell they’re keto if I hadn’t already known.

The chocolate on the outside is delicious, not too sweet and extremely chocolatey. The ice cream itself doesn’t have a ton of flavor and you can’t really taste any vanilla, to me it tastes like cream that’s been frozen and the chocolate overpowers the ice cream but they’re still yummy!

Overall these bars are delicious, especially if you’re on keto and want to indulge in a sweet frozen dessert.

Cost

I paid $14.99 Canadian for the box of eight keto diet safe frozen dessert bars. Definitely a little expensive but you’re paying for the fact that these are a keto product.

Convenience

Each bar is individually wrapped and are perfect to serve to your friends or family who are following a keto diet for dessert or a snack! Even if you’re not following a keto diet they’re still tasty.

The bars need to be kept in the freezer and the best before date is almost two years from the date we purchased the bars.

After looking at the ingredients list I can’t help but wonder if I just devoured a bar of essentially frozen butter. These bars are gluten-free and nut free if you base that solely on the ingredients listed, the bars contain milk and may contain peanuts, sesame seeds, soy, sulphites, tree nuts, wheat and triticale. Triticale is a hybrid of wheat and rye.

  1. I am a big fan of Keto Skream products. The chocolate ice cream tastes just like the old Fudgcicle bars did. I was able to get some of these vanilla bars at a local Costco and have enjoyed them as a treat all summer long. So hoping they keep showing up in Costco stores here on the West Coast.

  2. These bars are amazing. Would love to see them available at all Costco’s. Have been looking forward it all over this week and they had no more. 😞

  3. I wasn’t impressed with these. keto for nearly four years and these were over-priced in my opinion for what they are. Boring and I much prefer the Chapman’s lactose & sugar free ice cream cones (like a Cornetto). Cheaper too.

        • Same here for Windsor, sold out or only seasonal. I guess people don’t eat ice cream during the fall to spring months lol. It is ridiculous, truly. But I’ve noticed they are selling another Keto ice cream bar product called Keto Scream Barz by the No Sugar Company that doesn’t contain Maltitol which is nice. But they’re not nearly as good as the Keto Skream by far. I would really like it if Keto Skream would remove the Maltitol ingredient to make it better for diabetics as it causes insulin spikes and elevates glucose.

        • Totally ridiculous given that they’re such a nice desert and a treat for diabetics and those on keto. And only 1 Gm I of carbs! So sad.

    • Just tried to buy some at Costco, they are discontinued. Considered a seasonal they said , ridiculous, I guess they think people on keto only eat ice cream in the summer.

  5. Aaaah-mazing!! No aftertaste, just a fantastic treat if avoiding sugar on keto! Expensive but I’d rather pay $2 per bar than $6 at DQ

  6. Yes these are quite delicious. They seem expensive however so are other premium ice cream bars. Elsewhere they are sold in a 3 pack for 12 or more dollars, now that’s expensive! I wish Costco sold the chocolate ice cream version along with the vanilla one.
