Costco Kirkland Signature Tiramisu Cheesecake Review

I loved checking out all the desserts that Costco in Maui carries that aren’t available at Costco in Canada. While we were there, we tried this Kirkland Signature Tiramisu Cheesecake along with the Kirkland Signature Tres Leches Bar Cake. Everyone really enjoyed the Tres Leches Bar Cake, but did we like this Tiramisu Cheesecake just as much? Find out by reading the review below!

Location in Store

This is located in the refrigerated dessert section at Costco, beside it was a guava cheesecake and the Kirkland Signature Peanut Butter Chocolate Cream Pie. The item number is 1869784.

Taste

The first things that I noticed were the fact that the cake is quite light for a cheesecake and the strong coffee flavor. There are other flavors, but the coffee flavor stands out. The top layer is whipped cream dusted with espresso powder or chocolate (check on this). It’s light and sweet and tastes like real whipped cream.

The middle layer is the cheesecake. It tastes like a coffee cheesecake. The coffee and cheesecake flavors are both there and nicely balanced. It’s nicely tangy and not too sweet. The coffee flavor is rich.

The bottom layer is the graham cracker crust, but it’s quite chocolatey. It’s moist yet crispy; I didn’t find it soggy at all. The icing around the border is a plain vanilla icing. It’s tasty and not too sweet.

Overall, this cheesecake is excellent. I love how light it is and the flavors are great. If I didn’t know better, I might have thought it was a coffee cheesecake, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious.

Cost

The cheesecake costs $22.99 USD, which is similar to what a comparable cheesecake would cost in Canada after the currency conversion. It’s a large cheesecake and could easily serve 10 to 14 people generous-sized slices.

Convenience

The best-before date on the cheesecake is five days from when I purchased it. If you’re not going to finish the cheesecake quickly I think it could be frozen without any issue. This is great for a party, potluck or just to enjoy as a special dessert at home!

Nutrition

Calories

Costco wouldn’t provide me with the nutrition facts for the cheesecake. However, a quick Google search showed that a 1/16 slice contains 470 calories, 33 grams of fat, 36 grams of carbohydrates, five grams of protein, and 27 grams of sugar.

Ingredients

The ingredients list is quite extensive and includes several ingredients I don’t love seeing, such as palm kernel oil, artificial flavors, high-fructose corn syrup, and numerous preservatives and additives. The cheesecake contains wheat, egg, milk, and soy, and may also contain peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame.
