With the change of seasons, Costco often introduces new products to its bakery and prepared food sections. During my Costco trip this week, I spotted these new Kirkland Signature Filled Cinnamon Scones in the bakery and had to pick up a container to try. Costco doesn’t usually carry scones, and since I love cinnamon, I couldn’t wait to see what these were like! Are these new Costco cinnamon scones worth picking up? These new filled scones are located in the bakery section of Costco near the Kirkland Signature Muffins and the Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie. The item number is 2051260.
Taste
The Kirkland Signature Filled Cinnamon Scones from Costco are very sweet and extremely cinnamony, which I love because cinnamon is one of my favorite flavors! The outside is crispy and slightly crusty, while the inside is soft and moist.
There’s also a generous amount of sweet cinnamon filling, which has a paste-like texture and provides most of the cinnamon flavor, although the scone itself also has cinnamon throughout. The filling is even sweeter than the outside, giving these Costco cinnamon scones a delicious, cookie-like sweetness.
Cost
There are eight large scones in the container, which costs $11.99 Canadian at Costco. That works out to about $1.50 per scone, which I think is pretty reasonable. A similar-sized scone from Starbucks can cost around $3–$4, so these Costco scones are a much more affordable option.
Convenience
The scones have a best-before date that’s only two days after the date they were packed, so I would recommend freezing any extras if you won’t eat them by the best before date. These Costco cinnamon scones are great as a sweet treat with coffee or tea in the morning or afternoon, but they’re also sweet enough to enjoy as a dessert!

I don’t have the exact nutrition facts yet but I’ll be getting them shortly and updating this review. I imagine they’re high in calories, fat and sugar as well as carbohydrates.
Ingredients
I actually love that they use butter in the scone portion and the scone ingredients are very simple and basic. The sweet frosting or cinnamon filling has less than ideal ingredients like palm oil and artificial flavors. The Kirkland Signature Filled Cinnamon Scones contain milk, egg, soy, wheat, barley and oats and may contain tree nuts, peanut, sesame, rye, triticale and mustard.

They’re almost more like a dessert than a traditional scone, but I really enjoyed them. If you’re a big cinnamon fan, I think you’ll really enjoy these!
