Costco Two Bite Cranberry White Chocolate Shortbread Cookies Review

When you’re buying shortbread cookies at the grocery store, it can be hard to find ones made with real butter instead of unhealthy oils. So when I spotted these Two Bite Cranberry White Chocolate Shortbread Cookies at Costco, I was thrilled to see butter listed as the second ingredient. I bought a container expecting a buttery, rich shortbread cookie. Find out whether my expectations were met in the review below!

Location in Store

These are located in the bakery section at Costco near the Kirkland Signature Variety Dessert Bars and the Kirkland Signature Cookies & Cream Danish. The item number is 5000195.

Taste

If you like shortbread, I think you’ll really enjoy these cookies. They’re nice and buttery and melt in your mouth. The texture is crumbly, not soft, but not super hard either.

The dried cranberries add a nice touch of sweetness and tartness that complements the buttery shortbread well. I didn’t really notice the white chocolate very much; it’s very subtle.

Cost

The 672-gram container, which contains about 40 cookies, costs $11.99 Canadian at Costco. That seems pretty reasonable to me after trying them, especially since they’re made with real butter.

Convenience

The cookies come in a resealable plastic container, and the best-before date is about eight weeks from when I purchased them. After opening the container, I stored the cookies in my freezer, and they taste just as great once thawed!

These are perfect as a sweet snack with a cup of coffee or tea, and they’re also great as a dessert. They’re nut-free, so you can send them to school for your kids to enjoy!
