Costco Kirkland Signature Organic Dried Pineapple Tidbits Review

I recently spotted these new Kirkland Signature dried pineapple pieces at my local Costco and decided to pick up a bag to try. I love fresh pineapple and I’m also a big fan of the Kirkland Signature Organic Dried Mangoes, but I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about dried pineapple. Read on to find out whether I enjoyed these pineapple tidbits and if I’d buy them again!

Location in Store

These dried pineapple tidbits are located at my local Costco in the aisle with the crackers nut butters and other dried fruits at Costco. Beside the Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers and the Kirkland Signature Natural Peanut Butter. The item number is 1770647.

Taste

The first thing I noticed about the pineapple is that all the pieces were very stuck together so all of the tidbits came out in one big mass that resembled a pineapple. I had to pull each piece of dried pineapple off to eat. The pineapple is stick and chewy.

Despite not looking the most appealing, I found the pineapple really tasty. It’s a bit fibrous and not juicy like fresh pineapple, but every piece I tried tasted sweet and flavorful. It’s pretty addictive and hard to stop eating!

Cost

The 737-gram bag costs $17.99 Canadian, which is pretty expensive in my opinion! If you have a dehydrator, you could save money by drying your own pineapple instead of paying extra for the convenience of these dried tidbits.

Convenience

The fact that all the dried pineapple pieces stick together is definitely inconvenient and doesn’t make them easy to eat on the go. The bag is resealable, and the best-before date was about seven months from the date I purchased it. These work well as a snack on their own, or you could add them to homemade trail mix or granola.

There’s really not much to say about the ingredients! The only ingredient listed is organic dried pineapple, and I appreciate that there’s no added sugar.
