Location in Store

The turkey pepperoni is located in the refrigerated deli section at Costco, near the 44th Street Beef Pot Roast and the Naturally Chicken Sausages. The item number is 334050.

Taste

I thought I’d love these as a high-protein snack, but the flavor seemed off to me. I noticed a bit of a licorice flavor that I didn’t love, and they’re also a bit spicy. My toddler refused to eat them because they were too spicy, even though she usually enjoys sausage.

The texture of the turkey pepperoni is fine—it’s soft and chewy, and the sausages have a thin casing. They’re quite salty tasting, so if you’re someone who doesn’t like super salty foods, you may not enjoy these. Most pepperoni is quite salty, though.

Cost

The pepperoni comes in a two-pack that costs $18.99 Canadian. Each pack weighs 500 grams, for a total of one kilogram. In my opinion, that’s pretty expensive for turkey pepperoni sticks.

Convenience

The turkey pepperoni has an expiry date that’s two months from when I purchased it. It should be stored in the refrigerator, and if you’re not going to consume it before the best-before date, you could definitely freeze it.

Turkey pepperoni like this is great as a high-protein, low-carb snack. It pairs perfectly with cheese and crackers or can be enjoyed just on its own! You could even pop it onto a charcuterie board!

Overall

Give it a try!

I didn’t love these and won’t be repurchasing them, but my parents really enjoyed them, and I think they’re a good option for a low-carb, high-protein snack.
