When choosing popsicles for my four-year-old to enjoy during the summer months, I wanted something made with simple ingredients that didn’t contain a lot of artificial flavors. I came across these Jonny Pops Organic Rainbow Fruit Stacks popsicles at Costco and decided to give them a try. I like that they’re organic and contain no artificial colors. Find out what both my four-year-old and I thought of them by reading the review below!

Location in Store
These are located in the freezer section at Costco near the Melona Bars and the Tru Fru Frozen Chocolate Covered Strawberries. The item number is 2788022.

Taste
I really like these popsicles, and I’m not usually a huge popsicle person—I’d normally choose an ice cream cone instead. My daughter loved them too. They’re refreshing and flavorful without being overly sweet. My favorite flavor is definitely the cherry.

The texture is icy and pleasantly crunchy. They’re easy to bite into and aren’t rock hard like some popsicles can be. Each color has a different flavor, and the flavors are all distinct and easy to identify.

Cost
The box comes with 18 individually packaged, large popsicles and costs $17.99 Canadian, which works out to about $1.00 per popsicle. I think that’s really reasonable. Sure, you can find cheaper popsicles, but they’re often made with artificial flavors and aren’t organic.

Convenience
The popsicles need to be kept frozen, and the best-before date is about a year from the date of purchase. They’re perfect for kids and would be a hit at any summer barbecue, potluck, or party. They’d also be a great treat to bring along on a camping trip.

Nutrition
Calories
One ice pop contains 60 calories, zero grams of fat, 14 grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, 13 grams of sugar, zero grams of protein, and zero milligrams of sodium. Considering the size of the popsicles, I’m pleasantly surprised that each one contains only 60 calories and 13 grams of sugar.

Ingredients
The ingredients list is short and simple, with organic orange juice and organic sour cherry juice. I don’t love that there are “natural flavors” added, since it’s not always clear what those actually contain. The popsicles are gluten-free but may also contain milk and soy.

Overall
Give it a try!
My daughter will enjoy this box over the summer months, and I’d be happy to buy them again if I were hosting a party or barbecue with a lot of kids during the summer.
