Costco Kirkland Signature Mimosa Review

If you’re a mimosa fan, you might want to check out the Costco Kirkland Signature Mimosa—it’s ready to pour and enjoy straight from the bottle! I grabbed one as soon as I saw it was made with Sicilian blonde oranges and sparkling wine from Northern Italy. I was hopeful it would taste as good as a freshly made mimosa. Did it live up to my expectations? Read on to find out!

Location in Store

This is located in the Costco liquor store, I found it immediately when you walked in, beside the Kirkland Signature Vodka. The item number is 1726636.

Taste

I brought this for brunch at my parents’ and everyone thought it was pretty tasty. There’s no pulp at all, so it seems like a thin mimosa—but not a weak mimosa! I think the ratio of Italian sparkling wine to orange juice is about 50/50.

There were some sips where I noticed the sparkling wine more than the orange juice, but overall I felt the balance of sparkling wine and orange juice was perfect. There isn’t a strong orange flavor, and it’s not overly sweet or tart.

I wouldn’t say this is the most amazing mimosa I’ve had but it’s good and very convenient. It definitely tastes better than I expected.

Cost

The 750 milliliter bottle costs $13.99 Canadian, which isn’t overly expensive in my opinion. You’re definitely paying for the convenience, but if you’re camping or hosting a brunch, this is a really easy option.

Servings Suggestions

I highly recommend chilling this for at least a few hours before serving. We only had it in the fridge for about an hour and a half, and it definitely needed more time.

You can serve it as is, or jazz it up with a splash of cranberry, pomegranate, or pineapple juice. You could also add some peach, raspberry, or strawberry purée to the bottom of the glass, or even toss in some fresh fruit like strawberries, orange slices, or grapefruit wedges.

Scoring

Taste: 7.5/10

Cost: 9/10

Overall

Give it a try!

This was a nice thing to bring to brunch for our host, and everyone seemed to enjoy it! I wouldn’t say it’s better than homemade mimosas, but it’s pretty good.
