I’ve seen the La Terra Fina Quiche 2-Pack at Costco for quite a while but Sean is not a quiche guy and since I absolutely HATE food waste I didn’t buy it to review until now! This actually ended up at my mom and dad’s house and we I cooked up both quiche for the three of us to try.

Taste

You get two flavors in the La Terra Fina quiche pack. Cheddar and broccoli and spinach and artichoke. I think I like the spinach and artichoke quiche better which really surprised me! It’s definitely more unique tasting, the cheddar and broccoli is still really good. Both quiches are flavorful, seasoned well and just are overall delicious. One thing I want to point out is that the pastry is actually really nice and well done! I was a little skeptical about the crust but it was definitely tasty. My mom and dad both enjoyed the quiche as well. The only thing I’d change is maybe have a quiche in the pack with a bit of meat in it.

Cost

I paid $15.99 for the La Terra Fina Quiche 2-Pack. About $8 per quiche. Not exactly the cheapest thing and a little on the expensive side but if you want a really convenient quiche you can bake at home, this is it.

Convenience

Super simple to heat up in the oven! 375 for 25-28 minutes and add an additional 10 minutes if you froze your quiche, yes you can freeze the quiche! We had this for dinner but you could also have it for breakfast, lunch or brunch! The best before date was about 3 weeks from the date we purchased the quiche.

I’m glad I tried this! I probably won’t buy this again but only because my husband doesn’t really love quiche. If you’re a fan of quiche you’d probably enjoy this!

  1. I eat the quiche but I remove the crust. Don’t need the extra calories plus it’s a soggy mess. Egg mixture is a bit salty but then all processed foods are.

  2. I LOVE these… been buying them for a couple of years. They’ve gone up in price, like everything else, but when I first started buying them they were less than $12/package. I cut them up into 5-6 slices and freeze them. They freeze very well. They’re a quick and easy lunch, pair it with a salad or soup and it’s a really nice meal. They heat up very well in the microwave too. They’re also a nice change when I meal prep my lunch for the week but come Wednesday sometimes I just want something different.

  3. I bought these this week! Loved them both tho my favorite is the broccoli cheddar. Have eaten a quarter for lunch with a Caesar salad few times this week. Will definitely go back for more.

  4. i purchase these whenever I am at Costco. Have enjoyed both vegetarian flavors. I either bake whole in toaster oven or microwave one piece at a time. I do not find the crust inedible.

    Easy breakfast.

  5. My cousin bought me these at Costco because she told me they had Quiche. I love Quiche. I guess she paid $16.78 for Terra Fina 2 pack of Broccoli Cheddar and Spinach Artichoke. I told her I’d pay her back at the first of the month when my SS check came in. I opened the package the next day and decided to bake the Cheddar Broccoli, and was going to freeze the Spinach Artichoke. Well, there was only one Quiche in the entire package. Spinach Artichoke was missing. Terra Fina goofed and packaged only Quiche. Everything was sealed up too.

  6. I’m not a fan of elaborate breakfasts. These make an easy quick breakfast for me. I cut quiches in quarters, tinfoil and all, and freeze and the quarters separately. For my breakfast, I turn on the oven to 350 and make my tea. I first nuke a quarter for 2 minutes (no foil) and then into the oven (how every hot it is if I am impatient) in the foil quarter (good little baking pan), for 5 minutes, They come out crispy and tasty, pour my tea and I am out the door in 20 minutes.

  7. These quiches are garbage regardless of price. More than half the weight is the crust and it is not even a good crust. This product is so bad it should be removed from Costco’s shelves.

  8. I have never met a quiche I didn’t love, but I was so disappointed in this broccoli and cheddar quiche. The crust is oily and almost mushy. There is very little cheddar taste, and zero egg taste. It was only after I read and reread the package that I realized it’s made with egg whites. Why??? That’s what’s wrong with it. The other quiche is going in the garbage.

  9. I am the only quiche lover in cmy house! However, I buy this two pack so that I can cook one quiche, cut it in quarters (not 5ths!) and bring a piece for lunch x 4 days. This works out to $2.00 per day…. well worth it! I will have to try reheating in the air fryer as someone mentioned.

    • I love it for lunch too! I slice and freeze them and they re-heat very well. When I reheat in the microwave at work, if the crust is a little mushy I will place it on a paper towel and that seems to soak up any water from the defrost. If I’m not lazy I will place it in the toaster oven to crisp it up.

  11. I agree that the custard fillings in both of these Quiche are excellent, but the crust is an oily abomination. I’ve tried baking them in and out of the pans, on a pizza stone, and on the bare oven rack. The bottom crust always comes out a sodden oily disappointment. I regularly make oil-based pastry, and mine always comes out light a flaky. But, I always half par-bake my pie shells before I fill them. I noted a lot of excess oil left in the plastic over-wrap. It appears that they either used excess pan lubricant or the pie crust recipe is out of balance. I find that adding some extra cheese, bacon bits, and herbs raises them to a whole new level.
I like the product as a whole; but it could be a lot better. You did a nice review.

    • Just made these for the first time and was disappointed with the crust. Trying to decide if I toss the 2nd quiche or try baking them upside down so the crust cooks better.

      • That was my assessment exactly. Should I just throw out the second quiche? And I was brought up Catholic. Wasting food is a sin according to the teachings in elementary
        School. 😇

        • Thanl you for not wasting food. You remembered correctly about it being a sin to waste food. I too didn’t care for the quiche but ate it anyway, however, it’s not something that I would purchase again. At least not there. I’ve had better but it was from a bakery so more expensive.

    • I just made the broccoli/cheddar quiche this morning (from frozen). It did taste pretty good, but I totally agree that the crust was a disaster! It was as if the crust had been undercooked, and was kind of gluey. Not at all what you’d want in any kind of pie!

  12. My kids (13, 11 and 6) all like these, although they always want the broccoli one first, so I buy them fairly regularly. I’ve never frozen them before though – thanks for the tip! I like them too, although I wish the crust was a little crispier, but of course it’s not a dealbreaker for me.

Just a side note – I just recently found your site so I’m going through your reviews and not only are they helpful, they’re entertaining. There’s one where you said the item was “definitely edible!” lol

  13. Thanks for your review. We just bought these this week. I agree, the spinach and artichoke is more flavorful. I’d give an overall rating to this item as a 6/10. Definitely more enjoyable if you put some extra cheese and flavorings on it but for a quick meal in a pinch, its ok. It really is too bad that they had to put sugar in there. That is a big no-no IMO.

P.s. I like the fact that we are in the same area of the country as you so your reviews cover what is available in Canadian stores. I appreciate all the work you do on reviewing things from costco!
