Costco Nonni’s Gingerbread Biscotti Bites Review

These Nonni’s Gingerbread Biscotti Bites are a new seasonal release at Costco out for Christmas. The brand’s Limoncello bites are loved by many, so I hoped the gingerbread version would taste just as amazing. I picked up a bag to find out!

Location in Store

I found these on an island display in the bakery section at Costco, near the Schwartz Brothers Bakery Everything Bagel Chips and the Cooper Street Snacks Twice Baked Cookies. The item number is 1942853.

Taste

These are delicious, I really like them! They’re crispy but not super hard and they taste a lot like a light and crispy ginger snap or ginger cookie.

The flavor and level of sweetness are pretty much like a typical ginger cookie, they’re dry and crunchy, but not rock-hard like some biscotti can be. They have a nice combination of spices, and I like the level of sweetness.

The icing adds a bit of additional sweetness but doesn’t have much flavor beyond being sweet. There are almonds in the bites, but you don’t really notice any additional flavor or texture from them, and there aren’t a ton. They’re kind of addictive and make a perfect treat to have around the holidays.

Cost

The 794-gram bag of bites costs $13.99 Canadian, which, in my opinion, is pretty reasonable. There are a lot of biscottini in the bag, and they’re pretty delicious, so I think they’re worth the price.

Convenience

The bag is resealable, which will help keep the bites fresh, and the best-before date is about 10 months from when I purchased them. These are great on their own with a warm beverage, but you could also serve them with a scoop of ice cream.

Nutrition

Calories

Three biscottini bites contain 110 calories, four grams of fat, 17 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, nine grams of sugar, two grams of protein, and 75 milligrams of sodium. That’s not bad for three cookies; the sugar isn’t super high, and neither are the calories.

Ingredients

The ingredients list is pretty typical for a packaged, store-bought cookie. I don’t love seeing palm kernel oil or natural flavor. However, I do appreciate that the ingredients list is fairly short and sweet, with ingredients I recognize.

Overall

Give it a try!

These are super good, and I will definitely be finishing my bag. I also shared some with my parents, who loved them as well!
