Stuffed mushrooms are a popular appetizer, made by filling mushroom caps with a variety of toppings and then baking or broiling them. During my recent Costco trip, I was looking for holiday appetizers and came across Partini Creamy Stuffed Mushrooms. I don’t eat stuffed mushrooms often, so I was curious to try these. Keep reading to find out what I thought!

Location in Store
These are located in the freezer aisle at Costco, near the Kirkland Signature Tempura Shrimp and the P.S.I’s Grande Gourmet Coconut Shrimp. The item number is 2244950.

Taste
I tried these with both of my parents, who are in their 70s, and we had differing opinions. My parents felt that the stuffed mushrooms were very flavorful, nicely crispy on top, and had a rich, cheesy taste.

I, on the other hand, found the mushroom caps too chewy and watery for my liking. The cheese was also too pungent for me because it’s a really strong parmesan flavor that was quite salty and, overall, overpowering. After trying one, I didn’t want another, but my parents happily finished the plate.

Cost
The box contains 24 stuffed mushrooms and costs CAD 16.99, which isn’t exactly cheap for mushrooms and cheese. You’re definitely paying for the convenience of not having to do any prep work, you can just pop them straight into the oven.

Convenience
I followed the package directions and baked the stuffed mushrooms in my oven for 18 minutes at 450°F. The cheese on top turned a nice golden brown and became slightly crispy.

These need to be kept frozen, and the best-before date is about a year and four months from the date of purchase. The stuffed mushrooms can be served on their own—they don’t need any dipping sauce, as they’re flavorful enough.

Nutrition
Calories
Five stuffed mushrooms contain 140 calories, 10 grams of fat, six grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fiber, one gram of sugar, six grams of protein, and 270 milligrams of sodium. That’s not too many calories or fat for five mushrooms, and the sodium is lower than I expected as well.

Ingredients
The ingredients are mainly mushrooms, cheese, garlic, onions, chives, and seasonings. While these might seem like a good gluten-free appetizer option, they unfortunately contain wheat. They also contain milk and soy.

Give it a try!
As I mentioned earlier, my parents and I had very different opinions about these stuffed mushrooms. They enjoyed them, while I didn’t find them particularly special or tasty. These stuffed mushrooms might be one of those products that tends to divide opinions!

I also tried and agree with you. Top was fine but the bottom mushroom cap was way to tough and chewy. I couldn’t eat more than two. Agree with your scores.
