There are a few go-to products at Costco that I find myself buying again and again, favorites that are both healthy and delicious. After trying the Tattooed Chef Sheet Pan Vegetables, I’m confident they’ll be joining that list of staples in our home. Keep reading to find out why I’m such a fan!
Location in Store
The sheet pan vegetables are located in the freezer section at Costco, near the PuraVida Fire Roasted Vegetable Primavera and the Nature’s Touch Frozen Broccoli Florets. The item number is 1874843.
Taste
I absolutely love this mix and have already bought a second bag before finishing my first! There’s a mix of seasoned Brussels sprouts, sweet potato, broccoli florets, red onions, and zucchini. The vegetables are seasoned with simple salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
The vegetables are seasoned well and don’t need any additional herbs or seasonings, in my opinion. I bake the sheet pan vegetables in the oven, and they come out nice and crisp and golden brown with a hint of a charred flavor that’s enjoyable!
I appreciate that there also seems to be an equal mix of all the different kinds of vegetables. My favorites are the Brussels sprouts and sweet potato.
Cost
The 1.81-kilogram bag of sheet pan vegetables costs $18.99 Canadian, which isn’t cheap, but when you think about buying all five kinds of vegetables fresh from the store, the cost is probably not that much different.
Convenience
The sheet pan vegetables have a best-before date of about seven months from when I purchased them and need to be kept frozen. These are amazing as a side with any kind of meat, like pork chops, steak, chicken, shrimp, etc. I also like to bring them to work for lunch.
You can either bake, air-fry, or cook the vegetables in a skillet. I baked them and they turned out perfect, but I think they’d also be excellent in the air fryer. The skillet method seems a bit more labor-intensive, so I haven’t tried that method. These are great for busy people who want a quick, healthy side dish without all the work of chopping different kinds of vegetables.
Nutrition
Calories
In a 2/3 cup (85 gram) serving, there are 80 calories, six grams of fat, eight grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fibre, two grams of sugar, one gram of protein, and 160 milligrams of sodium.
The calories, carbohydrates, and sugar are low, and the sodium isn’t extreme for almost a cup of vegetables. The higher fat content comes from the olive oil, which is a healthy fat!
Ingredients
The vegetables are gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free, and I appreciate that they use extra virgin olive oil instead of canola oil and just simple seasonings. If you’re health-conscious, definitely add these vegetables to your shopping list!
