Costco Terra Sweets Medley Chips Review

Sweet potato gluten-free vegetable chips from Costco!

Time for a chip review. I’ve reviewed numerous chips from Costco but my all-time favorite are still the Costco Kirkland Signature Kettle Brand Krinkle Cut Himalayan Salt Potato Chips. Today I’m reviewing the Terra Sweets Medley Vegetable Chips.

These chips can be found near all the other chips in Costco and the item number is 1127643.

Taste

These chips are pretty basic/plain tasting. They definitely aren’t my favorite chips. They’re a pretty thick and crunchy chip, slightly sweet but not very salty or flavorful.

If I were to eat these again I would definitely make sure to have some dip with them. They definitely taste like a “lighter” chip due to the lack of flavor and you can tell they’re made from sweet potato.

Cost

I paid $5.49 Canadian on sale for the 453 gram bag of Terra Chips, the regular price of the chips is $7.49 Canadian.

Convenience

The bag unfortunately is not resealable. The best before date is about 6 months from the date we purchased the chips. These would be good to serve at a party of BBQ or enjoy at home if you like the taste.

Nutrition

21 chips is 200 calories, 11 grams of fat, 150 mg of sodium, 24 grams of carbohydrates, four grams of sugar, one gram of protein and three grams of fibre. The ingredients list is short and sweet and no gluten-containing ingredients are listed. Even those these might seem like a “healthier option” you may as well eat regular potato chips for about the same amount of calories and fat.

I didn’t love these chips enough to have buy or have again. I found they’re lacking flavor and aren’t that tasty!

Scoring

Taste: 610

Cost: 7/10

Convenience: 9.5/10 (would love if the bag resealed)

Nutrition: 5/10

Overall

Give it a try!

You might appreciate these lightly flavored vegetable chips!

Have you had these? What did you think of them?

  1. Do you ever make coupons available for your products? I’m a huge fan so I could offset the cost even a little bit I’d love you even more.

  2. I don’t mind these chips really. I appreciate they are different than a regular potato chip, but I am often concerned about biting down on the thick, hard chips as I have had root canals in the past and am conscious about putting those teeth under unnecessary stress. We get them on occasion, but usually when they are on sale. I prefer the “white” chip over the purple or orange ones, which are made with a different kind of sweet potato.

  3. I bought these on sale and really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, when I went back to my warehouse they were sold out! Very simple ingredients with a unique taste and relatively low sodium. I hope that they come back in stock soon. Obviously we all have different flavour thresholds so I would recommend trying them.
