Fruit snacks are a go-to favorite for toddlers and kids, so when I spotted these Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks at Costco, I had to grab a box for my toddler to try. They’re peanut-free and contain no artificial flavors, making them a great option for school or daycare. But did they live up to my expectations—and my toddler’s taste buds? Read on to find out!
Location in Store
These fruit ‘n yogurt snacks can be found in the snack section at Costco, near the Welch’s Fruit Snacks and the Edward Marc Snappers. The item number is 1853145.
Taste
I sampled these at Costco before buying them and immediately picked up a box because of how tasty they are! They’re slightly less soft than most fruit snacks due to the hard yogurt coating. The inside is still nice and chewy, though.
I notice that the yogurt cuts the sweetness, so as you’re chewing, the first flavor you taste is the creamy, slightly tangy yogurt. As you continue chewing, the fruit flavor comes through.
The strawberry is less sweet than the blueberry acai, which is noticeably sweeter. Both varieties are very fruity and don’t taste overly artificial. The yogurt coating also helps balance out the sweetness of the fruit snack center.
Cost
The 720-gram box costs $16.99 Canadian at Costco. There are 36 packs in the box, each weighing 20 grams—that’s 18 packs of each flavor. In my opinion, they seem a little expensive, but 36 packs is a decent amount.
Convenience
There are two flavors in the box: blueberry acai and strawberry. Each pouch contains 12 yogurt-covered fruit snacks, and the best-before date is 11 months from the date of purchase.
These are nut-free, so they’re school-safe. They’re also gluten-free and contain no artificial flavors. My toddler absolutely loves them as a treat
Nutrition
Calories
One 20-gram pack contains 70 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 15 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of fibre, 12 grams of sugar, less than 1 gram of protein, and 35 milligrams of sodium. These fruit ‘n yogurt snacks aren’t high in calories or fat, but they’re also very low in fibre and protein.
Ingredients
The ingredients lists for the blueberry-acai and strawberry flavors vary slightly due to the different types of fruit purée used. I don’t love seeing ingredients like natural flavor, palm kernel oil, and palm oil
The fruit snacks are gluten-free but contain milk and soy. They’re peanut-free and tree nut–free, which is great if you’re looking for a snack to send with your kids to school or daycare

Overall
Give it a try!
My toddler absolutely loves these as a treat, and my husband and I think they’re pretty tasty too! I wouldn’t say they’re a healthy snack—the nutrition facts and taste are similar to candy.
