Costco Tates Bake Shop Cookie Bark Review

I’ve always loved cookies, but I had never tried “cookie bark” until I came across Tate’s Bake Shop Cookie Bark at Costco and now I’m hooked. It’s made with pieces of thin, crispy chocolate chip cookies coated in rich dark chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. The combination is incredibly addictive! If you’re a cookie lover, I highly recommend picking this up on your next Costco run.

Location in Store

The cookie bark is located in the snack section at Costco, near the Unreal Dark Chocolate Coconut Minis and the Creative Snacks Co. Pretzels. The item number is 1805136.

Taste

I really like the cookie bark because I love anything with sea salt but my mom found the cookie bark way too salty for her liking. I admit, the cookie bark is pretty salty all over!

The bark is basically a crisp chocolate chip cookie coated with dark chocolate and heavy on the sea salt. It’s quite tasty and pretty addictive. The cookie part has a similar flavor to the Kirkland Signature Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies.

The dark chocolate is pretty sweet and not bitter at all. It tastes more like a milk chocolate than dark chocolate to me. These are delicious on their own and go well with a cold glass of milk!

Cost

The 397-gram bag costs $13.99 Canadian which isn’t too expensive. The cost is pretty comparable to similar snacks at Costco.

Convenience

The bag reseals which helps to keep the cookie bark fresh and the best before date I found on my bag was surprisingly two weeks before I purchased my cookie bark! It tastes completely fine but if you’re going to grab a bag you might want to look at the best before.

The cookie bark is a great snack or dessert! It would be delicious to have alongside some vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

I like that there’s real butter listed on the ingredients instead of canola or palm oil! The ingredients list is pretty typical for a store-bought cookie product. The cookie bark contains wheat, barley, milk, eggs and soy. It may contain peanuts and tree nuts.
