Dubai chocolate has been all the rage lately, known for its creamy milk chocolate, luscious pistachio cream filling, and crispy pastry bits. I hadn’t tried it before, but I’d certainly heard about it, so when I spotted this Chocovia Dubai Style Chocolate at Costco, I immediately picked up a bag. Unfortunately, I doubt I’ll be able to get my hands on another. Find out why below!
Location in Store
I found the Dubai style chocolates in the snack section at Costco, near the Unreal Dark Chocolate Coconut Minis and the Lindt Lindor Assorted Chocolates. The item number is 1906855.
Taste
These are absolutely delicious, unique chocolates, and I’m so glad I bought a bag when I saw them. The milk chocolate is sweet, smooth, and very creamy—it tastes like high-quality chocolate.
The texture of the filling beneath the milk chocolate is both smooth and crispy. The filling doesn’t look as attractive as some other Dubai chocolates I’ve seen, but that’s okay.
The kadaif crumbles add a nice crispy texture to the pistachio cream, and I think the little bits of filo pastry are so tasty. The pistachio cream inside the chocolate is somewhat similar to Nutella, but with a distinct pistachio flavor and quite sweet! If you’ve had the Pisti Pistachio Cream before, it’s like that.
Cost
The 450-gram bag costs $18.99 Canadian, and I counted 30 chocolates in the bag. Before trying them, I thought this seemed really expensive, but after tasting them, I feel like the cost is totally worth it.
Convenience
Each chocolate is individually wrapped, and the best-before date is a year and four months from when I purchased them. They’re the perfect dessert or sweet snack and would also make a really nice gift.
Since they’re individually wrapped, you could easily bring a bag to work and share with your coworkers. These Dubai chocolates from Costco are actually a product of Turkey, FYI!
Nutrition
Calories
Three chocolates contain 250 calories, 15 grams of fat, 24 grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fibre, 22 grams of sugar, three grams of protein, and 30 milligrams of sodium. These aren’t small chocolates, and they’re quite rich, so I’m not surprised that three of them add up to 250 calories.
Ingredients
The ingredients list isn’t very long, and there are only a few really unhealthy ingredients, like artificial vanilla flavor and palm oil. I love that they use whole milk and butter in the ingredients. These Chocovia Dubai Style Chocolates from Costco contain milk, pistachios, and wheat. They may also contain soy, other tree nuts, and peanuts.

Must buy!
These chocolates are absolutely delicious. If I can get my hands on another bag, I’ll definitely be picking one up but I bet Costco will sell out before I can!
Have you tried the Costco Chocovia Dubai Style Chocolate? What did you think of it?

Camel milk chocolate is better in Dubai.
Lol. There’s no such thing as Dubai chocolate. We live in a world of marketing hype and deception.
Honestly, I’m not surprised Natalie liked the new Costco Chocovia Dubai Style Chocolate. It definitely works for people who love awfully sweet chocolate, but if you care about quality or authenticity, it falls flat.
Basically, I think this is junk. What you’re actually getting here is a generic sweet milk chocolate with barely any pistachio flavor which is supposed to be the main draw. The filling is dry and there isn’t much of it, so in the end, it just tastes like any mass-market chocolate bar with some crunch added.
Plenty of regular chocolate eaters have said the same thing: the bar is too sweet, the pistachio note is basically missing, and it’s overpriced for what you get. Maybe that’s why Natalie liked it, but if you actually seek out good chocolate or like authentic flavors, you’ll be disappointed.
Next time, perhaps visit a Ukrainian, German, or other European deli and pick up some hazelnut or pistachio filled chocolate that isn’t called “Dubai”
did not do it for me. dark chocolate much preferred and very faint pistachio flavor if any. taste like your average hazelnut filling that can be found in 50% of all chocolates, despite the slight green color.
Absolutely love it
And FYI, the same size bag is $32.66 on Amazon!!!! So maybe Costco’s price is pretty good!
Hmmm sounds a bit like chocolate covered baklava! Wonder why they’re Dubai “style”? Maybe because they’re made in Turkey?🤷🏼
I’m tempted to buy them based on your recommendation buuuut I’m a dark chocolate gal! Thanks for your review.
The woman who invented them (a brit, with the help of a phillipino) named it dubai chocolate as she lived there at the time
Thank you for reviewing these. I have been avoiding the Dubai chocolate fad, but it looks like I will have to cave in now.
Hi. If you haven’t opened a bag, don’t. They are SO addictive. I bought a bag yesterday and have eaten way too many. If you enjoy smooth sweetness, go for it. I really enjoy them…too much.
