Taste
The first thing I noticed about the Archer Minis Original Beef Sticks from Costco is that they’re quite dry. The flavor is also very salty, and I don’t find there’s much flavor beyond the saltiness. There’s a very mild amount of heat and spice, but it’s subtle enough that I barely notice it.
The beef sticks also have a somewhat processed taste. Most beef sticks have a processed flavor to some degree, but I found these tasted more processed than some of the other meat sticks I’ve tried. Overall, I don’t think the Archer Minis Original Beef Sticks are as good as some of the other Costco options I’ve tried, including the Bellitalia Salami Snacksticks and Kirkland Signature Beef Sticks.
Cost
The bag contains 28 individually packaged, 14-gram mini beef sticks and costs $24.99 Canadian. That seems pretty expensive to me, although beef prices have increased over the years. You’re also paying for the convenience of the individually packaged sticks and the fact that they’re marketed as being made with grass-fed beef.

I like that each mini beef stick is individually packaged, making them easy to pack in a gym bag, work bag or lunch. They’re a convenient grab-and-go snack that’s high in protein and relatively low in calories, making them a handy option when you’re on the go. The best-before date is about 10 months from when I purchased them, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy them.

If you’re specifically looking for a grass-fed beef stick at Costco, I’d recommend checking out the Kirkland Signature Beef Sticks instead.
