Costco Loacker Tortina Mini Original Review

I couldn’t resist grabbing the Loacker Original Mini Tortina at Costco after reading the description on the bag. “Milk chocolate–enrobed wafer with hazelnut cream” practically screamed delicious, and I knew I had to try them! Keep reading to see if they lived up to my sweet expectations.

Location in Store

I found these in the bakery section near the other packaged cookies like the Desserts on Us Lacey’s Milk Macadamia Milk Chocolate Cookies and the Nonni’s Biscotti Bites. The item number is 1952870.

Taste

I really love these, they’re so good! They’re fairly crisp and light, and they practically melt in your mouth. They’re rich and chocolaty, with a delicious hazelnut filling.

The texture of the filling is soft, while the cookie is thin and crispy. You get a satisfying crunch at first, and then the rest of the cookie just melts in your mouth. There’s a really nice balance of chocolate and hazelnut, with the perfect amount of sweetness.

I also love that these aren’t dry at all. A lot of crispy cookies tend to be dry, but not these. It’s hard to stop eating them, they’re pretty addictive!

Cost

The 378-gram bag of Loacker Mini Tortina costs $16.99 Canadian. Considering how good they taste and the fact that they’re a product of Italy, I don’t think the price is too high.

Convenience

The best before date is about eight months from when I purchased these. The bag isn’t resealable, but each wafer is individually packaged so that helps keep them fresh. They’re the perfect size to throw in your lunch bag, work desk or glovebox! They’re also easy to share because they’re packaged individually.
