Today I’m reviewing another Costco bought keto product! The No Sugar Company Keto Bars. These are great for anyone who’s following a keto diet but has a craving for something sweet. Although I’m not on keto I happily try and review Costco keto products.

A few other keto products I’ve reviewed from Costco are the Keto Skream Frozen Dessert Bars, No Sugar Company Keto Bombs and the Lakanto Sweetener.

These keto bars can be found in the snack section by all the other protein and granola bars at Costco. The item number is 1383278.

Taste

You get two flavors in the box of No Sugar Company Keto Bars. Eight chocolate peanut butter bars and four chocolate chip cookie dough bars.

The chocolate peanut butter isn’t overly flavorful but has a nice mild chocolate peanut butter taste. I notice it is a bit hard to distinguish betweem the chocolate and peanut butter flavors when eating the bar, this might be because the layer of chocolate is quite thin. There’s just a small amount of chalkiness when eating the bar but it wasn’t to the point of making it taste unappealing.

I prefer the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor and wish there was more than just four in the box. The chocolate chip cookie dough keto bar is more flavorful and tastes a bit sweeter. There are a few crunchy pieces mixed in the filling of the bar that add a bit of extra texture. Once again it’s hard to distinguish the chocolate coating from the cooking dough flavor. There is the same amount of slight chalkiness in the chocolate chip cookie dough bar that’s present in the chocolate peanut butter bar.

Cost

A box of 12 No Sugar Company Keto Bars from Costco is $19.89 Canadian.

The best before date on the bars is about 15 months from the date I purchased the bars. These bars are perfect if you’re a keto dieter with a sweet tooth or need a quick snack or breakfast bar. Make sure you store your bars in a cool place as they do melt!

  1. I think when you purchase keto bars, it depends on your reason. If you are getting them as an alternative to chocolate, then forget it. There is nothing that taste as good as milk chocolate. Anyway of all the KETO bars ive tasted. These are the best so far and Ive tasted quite a few. They are covered in a layer of chocolate with a more airy inner layer, so texture is great. If you are on or trying a keto diet, then these definitely resemble and taste about as close as you can get without sugar.

  2. I wonder if you have desert thistles for taste buds.. these are the worst versions of “peanut butter“ , “chocolate” and “cookie dough” I’ve ever tried.
Flavorless and weird in texture, I regret my Costco purchase (so expensive! To add insult to injury…)

  3. Agreed. They are grossly overpriced, as most keto products seem to be. I guess the manufacturers want to capitalize on this current market while they can……but they are too expensive for my budget, no matter how handy a snack they might be.
    Thanks for reviewing them!

  4. Recently, I’ve become diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. These sugar alcohol sweeteners don’t play nice with my body.

I’m not a fan of Keto either, especially since I have also been diagnosed with fatty liver disease and ulcerative colitis. It’s not a good combination, for sure.

Anyway, these don’t taste bad. But like all Keto products, they are ridiculously overpriced for what they are.

    • good luck managing type 2 diabetes without keto, betty. i was diagnosed with type two 50 years ago at age 17. it took me until age 40 to learn that low carb/keto was the only thing that would keep me from living life in a motorized wheel chair. keto is THE cure for fatty liver disease, which is caused by excess sugar. obvious answer to that? no sugar (carbs) diet. you may need to experiment with foods and ingredients to get to a plan that agrees with you. i generally avoid these types of sweet snacks. sugar alcohols and even the “good” sweeteners, in excess, make me feel horrible. stick with clean, whole low carb foods and try adding things to see what you can tolerate, good luck with your healthy low carb journey!
