If you’re always busy in the morning but still want to fit a nutritious breakfast into your day, these Costco Prana Chia Love Protein Overnight Oats could make things a lot easier. You simply prepare the oats the night before using water, and they’re ready to grab and take to work or school or enjoy quickly the next morning. They’re also packed with nutritious-sounding ingredients, so they almost seem too good to be true! But are these Costco overnight oats actually as convenient and healthy as they sound? Find out what I thought in the review below!

Location in Store
These overnight oats are located in the cereal/granola aisle at Costco, near the Innfoods Keto Granola and the Rawcology Granola. The item number is 1902176.

Taste
The Prana Overnight Oats from Costco have a strong blueberry flavor that really stands out with every bite. While the blueberry taste is delicious, it does have a slightly artificial quality to it, even though the product isn’t made with artificial flavors.

Once the oats have had time to sit, they develop a thick, creamy texture with a bit of texture from the chia seeds, which adds some nice variety. The package says you only need to add water, but I think using milk would make the overnight oats even richer and creamier.

Cost
The 780-gram bag costs $12.99 Canadian at Costco, which seems pretty reasonable for 12 oatmeal breakfasts. There may also be days when I’m less hungry and only want to make 1/4 or 1/3 cup of oats, so I think I could actually get more than 12 portions out of one bag.

Convenience
These overnight oats are very simple to make. All you have to do is measure out 1/2 cup of the oat mix and combine it with 125 milliliters of water in a bowl or jar. You can use more or less water depending on how you like the consistency of your oatmeal. You can also customize your overnight oats by adding your favorite toppings or fresh fruit.

The best before date was about ten months from when I purchased the overnight oats. The bag can be stored in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place, and I like that it’s resealable to help keep the oat mix fresh.
Nutrition
Calories
A 1/2-cup serving of the Prana Chia Love Protein Overnight Oats prepared with water contains 260 calories, six grams of fat, 41 grams of carbohydrates, eight grams of fibre, 12 grams of sugar, 12 grams of protein and 35 milligrams of sodium. If you want to increase the protein, you could prepare the overnight oats with milk instead of water, although this would also add extra calories, carbohydrates and fat. I especially love that one serving provides an impressive eight grams of fibre!

Ingredients
The ingredients list is packed with nutritious foods like chia seeds, pumpkin seed protein, pea protein and freeze-dried blueberries. However, there are still a few ingredients I don’t love seeing, including sugar and natural flavors. The overnight oats aren’t specifically labeled gluten-free, although wheat isn’t listed in the ingredients. They’re dairy-free but may contain almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, sesame and soy.

Overall
Give it a try!
Overall, I found The Prana Overnight Oats tasty and enjoyed the blueberry flavor. I like warm oatmeal during the fall and winter so I may try heating this to finish up my bag.
They’re a product of Canada.
Yes! Real freeze-dried blueberries.
There isn’t any wheat or dairy listed on the ingredients list but the bag doesn’t state “gluten-free” or “dairy-free”.
