I’m a big fan of the lemon and gingerbread Nonni’s Biscotti Bites that I’ve previously reviewed, so when I saw this new raspberry version, I had to pick up a bag. I love anything berry-flavored and couldn’t wait to try these, but after tasting them, I was a bit disappointed. Find out why by reading the review below!

Location in Store
These are located in the bakery section of my Costco, near the Honolulu Cookie Company Mini Bites and the Lotus Biscoff Cookies. The item number is 245997.

Taste
I love the lemon Nonni’s and the gingerbread too but these were a big flop for me. For whatever reason, the texture seems a bit harder and crunchier than the other flavors Nonni’s has. They do soften up if you dip them in coffee, tea, or milk, though!

My biggest issue with the raspberry-flavored Nonni’s is that they taste pretty artificial and are a little too sweet for my liking. There’s a thin pink icing on each biscotti, which I think is where most of the artificial raspberry flavor is coming from. I think it’s pretty hard to replicate real raspberry flavor in hard biscotti unless they use whole freeze-dried raspberries in the biscotti, which can be costly.

Cost
The 794-gram bag of raspberry biscotti costs $10.49 CAD, which isn’t expensive for such a large bag. I think they’re fairly priced.

Convenience
The bag is resealable, which is great because it keeps the mini biscotti fresh—and it’s a big bag! The best-before date is about 11 months from when I purchased them, and I recommend storing them in a cool, dry place.

These work well as a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack and are also good as a dessert. They’re much better served with tea, coffee, or milk to soften them.
Nutrition
Calories
Three cookies contain 110 calories, three and a half grams of fat, 18 grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fiber, 11 grams of sugar, one gram of protein, and 80 milligrams of sodium. That’s not bad for three biscotti bites! I think one or two is enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Ingredients
I like that butter is listed in the ingredients and that raspberries are included in the raspberry powder. The only ingredients I don’t love seeing are palm kernel oil and natural flavor. I expect there to be sugar in biscotti! The biscotti bites contain wheat, barley, egg, milk, and soy, and may contain tree nuts.
