Needs Alt text and yoast faq I love stroopwafel cookies like the Le Chic Pâtisserie Dutch Cookies and Le Bon Pâtisserie Stroopwafels from Costco, so when I spotted these new Wafflemeister Waffle Bites recently, I decided to pick up a container. I know they’re not technically stroopwafels, but they looked delicious, and I was intrigued to see that they’re made in Belgium. Find out what I thought of these Belgian waffle bites and whether they taste as good as they look by reading my Costco review below!

Location in Store
These are located in the bakery section of Costco near the Kirkland Signature Artisan Pita Bread and the Kirkland Signature Sourdough Bread. The item number is 2041384.
Taste
The first thing I noticed about the Wafflemeister Waffle Bites is that the layer of chocolate on the waffles is quite thin, so they’re not as chocolatey as I was hoping. The waffle biscuit itself isn’t particularly flavorful either, so I think a thicker layer of chocolate would really improve them!

The waffle bites have a crisp, crunchy texture rather than the softer, chewier texture I prefer. Overall, these aren’t the best-tasting biscuits I’ve had, but they’re still tasty enough. They’re quite simple and a little plain, but their small size makes them perfect for a mid-morning snack with a cup of tea or coffee.

Cost
The 700-gram container costs $13.99 Canadian, which I think is a reasonable price considering the large size. You’re getting quite a lot of waffle bites for the price, and they’re also a product of Belgium.

Convenience
The Waffle Bites come in a resealable plastic container, which makes them easy to store and helps keep them fresh. The best-before date is about six months from when I purchased them, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy them. Their small size makes them a convenient snack for mid-morning or mid-afternoon, and they also work well as a simple dessert after dinner.

Nutrition
Calories
Three Waffle Bites contain 150 calories, seven grams of fat, 18 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 11 grams of sugar, two grams of protein and 110 milligrams of sodium. The Waffle Bites aren’t particularly high in calories, fat or sugar, although they also aren’t a significant source of protein.

Ingredients
Although the ingredients list isn’t particularly long, there are still some ingredients I’m not a fan of. It contains palm and canola fats, artificial flavor and additives such as polyglycerol polyricinoleate. The Waffle Bites contain wheat, milk, soy and egg.

Scoring
Taste: 7/10
Cost: 7/10
Convenience: 10/10
Nutrition: 1/10 (I didn’t give them a zero because they’re lower in calories and sugar than a lot of cookies).
Overall
Give them a try!
I can’t say I would rush to buy these again, they aren’t terrible and are tasty enough. They’re just very simple and plain!
There isn’t a label that states these are definitely nut-free but there aren’t any nuts listed on the ingredients list.
They’re produced in Belgium for the Wafflemeister company that’s in the United Kingdom.
In a cool, dry, place. The plastic container that seals tightly will help keep them from going stale.
