If you’re craving the bold flavor of nacho chips but want something made with slightly healthier ingredients, these Crunchmaster Queso Crackers from Costco are worth checking out. They’re made with sesame, chia, flax, and quinoa seeds, then baked with olive oil. They’re also gluten-free, making them a great option for anyone with celiac disease or following a gluten-free diet. I picked up a box to try but would they actually replace my beloved nacho chips?

Location in Store
These are located in the aisle with baking goods and crackers at Costco like the Simple Mills Almond Crackers and the Mary’s Organic Crackers. The item number is 1963654.

Taste
These Queso crackers are good, but not as good as the Avocado Toast Salt & Pepper Crackers or the Sour Cream & Herb Crackers by Crunchmaster. They are very crunchy with a hint of heat, but don’t have as much spice as you’d expect.

The cheese flavor is very mild and not very noticeable; they taste more like a jalapeño cracker than a queso cracker. You can clearly taste the jalapeño flavor.

There seems to be a lot of seasoning or coating on the crackers, so I expected more cheese flavor. You can also taste a hint of sesame from the sesame seeds. I don’t love the flavor—they’re just okay, in my opinion.
Cost
The box comes with two separate bags of crackers and costs $14.49 Canadian. That’s about $7.25 per bag, which isn’t cheap! You’re definitely paying for the fact that these are made with healthy ingredients like olive oil and whole grains.
Convenience
The best before date on the crackers is about six months from when I purchased them. I like that the box comes with two separate smaller bags, so you don’t have to open one big bag and have them go stale quickly.

These would work well with dips like the Good Foods Plant Based Queso Style Dip and the La Terra Fina Queso Dip with Cheddar to give the crackers some additional flavor. You could also serve them with some cheese or salsa.
Nutrition
Calories
Thirteen crackers contain 130 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, 21 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fibre, 1 gram of sugar, 3 grams of protein, and 270 milligrams of sodium. That’s not bad for thirteen crackers! They’re not loaded with fat, carbs, or calories.

Ingredients
The ingredients list is full of simple, healthy ingredients, with only a few that I don’t love seeing, such as natural flavour. The crackers are gluten-free but contain milk, sesame, and soy.

Give it a try!
I can’t say I was totally in love with these crackers but my mom and dad really enjoyed them and took a bag home!
