Back to school is right around the corner where I live so I’m reviewing a few Costco kids snacks over the next little bit! Today I’m reviewing the Costco Kirkland Signature Apple Snacks which are little convenient apple sauce pouches.

I have reviewed the Costco Gogo Squeez, Costco Kirkland Signature Soft & Chewy Granola Bars, Costco Meiji Hello Panda Chocolate Cookies, Costco School Safe Birthday Surprise Cookies and the Costco School Safe Banana Chocolate Chip Snacks Cakes which are peanut, tree nut and dairy free. MadeGood Granola Minis and MadeGood Red Velvet Mini Cookies which are also school safe and taste great.

The apple snacks can be found on the side of the store near the front by the almond milk and juice boxes. The item number is 897791.

Taste

What do the Costco Kirkland Signature Apple Snacks taste like? Well, they taste like pure, fresh, pureed, unsweetened organic apples!

The apple snacks from Costco aren’t flavored like the Gogo Squeez so they’re less exciting and slightly more bland but if you’re looking for a plain, delicious, organic apple sauce for your kids, these are them!

Cost

I paid $9.99 Canadian for the 24 pouches of apple sauce which isn’t completely over priced, I think you’re paying mainly for the packaging and not the actual apple sauce!

Convenience

The best before date on the apple snacks is almost a year from the date purchased and they can be kept at room temperature. The Costco organic apple sauce pouches are really convenient for kids to enjoy while they’re on the go or for them to bring to school because they do not require any spoons and don’t make any mess!

The pouches have an easy twist off cap and a built in straw, you can even reseal the pouch if you’d like. The apple snacks are convenient to keep in the car, bring to school or have in your bag for whenever you or your kids get hungry.

I like using the apple snacks for times when I make pork tenderloin and want some apple sauce with it.

  1. If these are so healthy, why did you only give them a 1/10 for nutrition? No sugar, why wouldn’t you rate them as being more nutritional? Was this 1/10 a typo?
