Time for a Costco clothing review! I actually buy a ton of clothing from Costco and recently picked up this Paradox Packable Down jacket that I really like so I want to review it on the blog.

I’ve previously reviewed other clothing items from Costco like the Lole Lounge Pants, the LazyPants Joggers and Hoodie, Women’s Skechers Shoes, Tuff Athletics T-Shirt and Kate Spade Blanket.

You can find the Paradox jacket in the clothing section at Costco, the item number is 2128103.

Look

I really like the look of this jacket. It’s slightly poofy from being filled with down but not overly poofy. It’s sleek and slimming and isn’t boxy looking! I like how this jacket slightly covers my bum as well and isn’t super short.

I decided to buy black but there was also a steel blue and pink color that were beautiful. I always stick to black because anytime I buy anything with color I always wish I bought black.

Cost

I paid $49.99 Canadian for the Paradox Packable Down Jacket.

Sizing and Features

I’m 5’5 and and range from 128-135 lbs (depending on how much cake and pizza my diet has consisted of) and my size is usually small or extra small. I decided to try this on in store and the small fit perfectly with lots of extra room for a heavy sweater or hoodie. I think a medium would be a little too large for me. This fits really nicely, not too tight in the arms and very comfortable.

The sizes available are small, medium, large, xl and xxl which is awesome, if you’re super teeny tiny you might find the smalls are a bit baggy but still comfy. I find this jacket fits true to size.

The Paradox Jacket from Costco is filled with duck down, is wind and water resistant and so very light! On the inside of the jacket there’s a little bag that you can pack your coat into, I at first thought there was no way the coat would fit in the bag but with a little effort it easily fit. The hood is also detachable which is great

Feel

This is warm and breathable. It’s extremely light and not at all heavy which I love, you can barely tell you have a coat on it’s so light feeling.

  1. Now that you’ve had this jacket for a year how warm was it last winter, what temperatures did you wear it in? I am looking for a new winter coat to wear when shovelling snow and this coat is on sale this week at Costco.

  2. Because you review all these food items … I imagine you eating all the time … ha ha. But, you must eat normally because you fit into these very small clothes.

  3. I agree with every word you say. I absolutely love this jacket also. Last year I bought a black one and this year I bought another one different colour.
It is made in China and I found the sizing smaller than I would normally wear Even driving the car you wouldn’t know you were wearing a coat..

  4. Hi,
I really enjoy your blog and have found it very useful. A couple of weeks ago you wrote about a pasta product “Explore Fava Bean Fusilli” which was very high in protein and tasted like regular wheat based pasta. As someone who needs to follow a gluten free diet, I was really excited to try it. However when I went to my local Costco in Ontario Canada, they did not have it and when I asked them to do a search for it, they said that it is not anywhere – that the code number (Costco 1512120) does not exist. Are you American based and that is why I cannot get it here? Thank you.

    • Hi! I just double checked my receipt and the item number is definitely 1512120. I bought it here in Alberta. I also buy Explore Cuisine Chickpea Fusilli from Superstore here in Alberta and I love it! I would recommend that with the Costco Rao’s Marinara and some Kirkland Signature Ground Turkey. So good and filling, high in protein and low in sugar, fat, etc.
