The best Costco bakery items for Christmas!

Title graphic - Top Costco Bakery Items for Christmas.

I think I’m well qualified to make a list of the best Costco bakery items for the holiday season. Basically, there are two reasons for this: I love the holidays, and I’ve tried countless Costco bakery items. As a bonus, I’m also obsessed with Costco in general and I keep a close eye on what Costco shoppers go crazy for every holiday season.

I decided to use this knowledge to put together my official list of the best Costco bakery items for Christmas. Most of these baked goods are also great for Thanksgiving and even New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day celebrations too!

If you’re looking for Costco bakery ideas for the holidays, you’ve stumbled upon the right post. I also have other lists for the top Costco chocolates, treats and snacks for Christmas and the top Costco appetizers for Christmas.

Now let’s get started and check out the top Costco bakery items for the 2021 Christmas and holiday season!

Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie

The famous Costco pumpkin pie is pretty good and very cheap!

The Costco Kirkland Signature Pie is a must-buy for large Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. It’s perfect if you’re hosting a large crowd of people for dinner and you need a classic holiday dessert to serve. It’s tasty, decent quality for a grocery-store pie and extremely cheap!

Kirkland Signature Christmas Fruit Cake

This fruit cake definitely looks festive!

I’m not a huge fan of fruit cake, but my dad is! He swears that the Costco Kirkland Signature Christmas Fruit Cake is the best grocery store fruit cake you can find. He’s eaten a lot of Christmas fruit cakes in his life and he still buys one from Costco every year! If you want to boost the flavor, you can pour some liquor over the top and let it soak in the fridge – check out my full review for more information.

Kirkland Signature Ginger Cookies

Even Santa would approve of these ginger cookies!

These Costco Kirkland Signature Ginger Cookies might not be as good as grandma’s homemade ginger cookies, but they’re really delicious nevertheless. They hit all of the key aspects of this classic Christmas cookie – soft, chewy and sweet, with a hint of spice and warmth coming from the ginger. All you need is a glass of cold milk and a warm fire!

Kirkland Signature Tiramisu Cake

Tiramisu may not be a classic Christmas dessert, but this cake is the perfect finale after a big holiday meal.

Is tiramisu a Christmas dessert? What about a cake version of tiramisu? I don’t have the answer to either of those questions, but the Costco Kirkland Signature Tiramisu Cake is delicious. It’s not overly sweet, but it’s very creamy, light and fluffy. I think it’s a great dessert option for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or New Year’s gatherings!

Kirkland Signature Raspberry Crumble Cookies

These cookies look tasty but also very Christmasy!

Looking for another option guaranteed to please Santa? Check out the Kirkland Signature Raspberry Crumble Cookies! They’re a soft, sweet, slightly crisp and yet chewy shortbread cookie with raspberry jam filling in the middle. The dusting of powdered sugar on top resembles snow, which makes these Costco cookies super festive!

Kirkland Signature Nanaimo Bars

Nanaimo bars are a great addition to any plate of holiday cookies and treats!

My Canadian readers might appreciate this one a little bit more than my friends from the United States. Nanaimo bars are a classic Canadian dessert. The Kirkland Signature Nanaimo Bars are only available at Costco during the holiday season. If you’ve never had a Nanaimo bar before you can read about them here.

Kirkland Signature New York Style Cheesecake with Strawberry Topping

Costco carries this cheesecake all year round, but I think it’s a great Christmas dessert.

Costco carries the Kirkland Signature New York Style Cheesecake all year round, but it’s perfect for any holiday get-together! Cheesecake is usually a crowd-pleaser, and this Costco cheesecake doesn’t disappoint. It serves quite a few people and freezes really well, so it’s a handy dessert to have on hand during the holidays.

Kirkland Signature Chocolate Lover’s Cookie Pack

Not a baker? Outsource your Christmas cookie baking to Costco. You won’t be disappointed!

The Kirkland Signature Chocolate Lover’s Cookie Pack is another year-round Costco bakery item, but unless you’re ambitious enough to bake three different kinds of chocolate chip cookies, it’s a must-have during the holiday season. The cookies are soft, chewy, sweet and extremely satisfying. They’re a perfect snack to have with a mug of hot chocolate after you’ve gone sledding or snowman-building outside!

Costco Kirkland Signature Yule Log

I have to say, Costco makes some very pretty desserts!

Costco carries this Kirkland Signature Yule Log cake in the bakery department during the holiday season, and it looks so festive! It’s extremely rich – a little goes a long way. That makes it perfect for serving a lot of people though. The middle of the yule log has a decadent chocolate mousse that I really enjoy.

Costco Kirkland Signature Tuxedo Cake

Traditional Christmas dessert? No. Amazing dessert for any occasion? Yes!

You can never go wrong with the Kirkland Signature Tuxedo Cake. This is my absolute all-time favorite Costco cake. I’d much rather have a slice of the tuxedo cake than pumpkin pie or any other bakery item from Costco for Christmas or Thanksgiving dessert! This cake is obviously targeted to chocolate lovers, but I think anyone who appreciates desserts will like it. It’s delicious and great quality for the price.
